Kody von Kohn is a stunning 2 year old black and red AKC registered German shepherd. The breeder was sick and could no longer keep his dogs. Kody is used to being around other dogs and after he arrived, we also rescued Daisy from the same breeder. (Kody was most likely her father.) On his surrender form, the owner said he was good with both men and women, toddlers and children. He is such a gentle soul and seems kind of lost at the rescue. He’s an affectionate  fellow who wants to be your shadow. He delights in having his ears  and butt scratched and will lean against you suggesting that he’d like a bit more of that, please. He's enjoying learning his basic commands and, while he’s not a fan of cats, he’s good with other dogs and we were told has been good with children. He knows to take treats very gently. He’s a dream at the end of a leash. He starts out calmly and stays close to the handler throughout the walk. He investigates everything along the way and does great within a group of dogs. He meets every one of his companions face-to-face without issue.  Off-leash in the play yard Kody is calm and comfortable from the outset. While he is a good greeter of the other dogs and enjoys some mingling as well, he is fine in his own company, exploring and sniffing all around the yard. After all the greeting, mingling and exploring, this very good boy is ready to receive some petting from the people present. (No cats please.)
